The 7th meeting of the 10th Parliament resumes today, Wednesday the 31st of October 2018 after it was adjourned on September 24th 2018. Before the house this morning was the presentation of papers and of reports and Bills first and second readings. The Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (SINPF) (Amendment) Bill 2018 went through its first reading and the following Bills also went through second reading:
- The ‘2017 Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2018
- The ‘Development Bank of Solomon Islands Bill 2018
- The ‘Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (Amendment) Bill 2018
- The ‘Payment Systems Bill 2018
According to statement of Government Business for the week ending Friday 2nd October 2018, by the Hon. Prime Minister Rick Houenipwela, government anticipates to pass the SINPF Amendment Bill 2018 and the Traditional Governance and Customs facilitation Bill 2018, before the week ends. Parliament meeting continues tomorrow Thursday 1st November 2018.
